I could not stop reading. Practically swallowed it whole. This book has been on my radar for a long, long time. It was everything I hoped, but also quite different from what I had imagined. I think this will stay with me for a long time and probably warrants a re-read when I am (even) older.

Impactful, it poses the question of the worth of men.

Did this book destory me? Yes, in the most astronomical way possible. It's eye-opening and gives perspective. Happiness is subjective and this book shows you the hard way to get it even if it means making you run in circles.

"It's just a mouse and a guy who wants to be smart," are my famous last words before I dived in. After this, I will lay flowers in the back yard.

Favourite Quotes:
Spoiler
[1] What is my place? Who and what am I now? Am I the sum of my life or only of the past months?
[2] Only a short time ago, I learned that people laughed at me. Now I can see that unknowingly I joined them in laughing at myself. That hurts most of all.
[3] Intelligence is one of the greatest human gifts. But all too often a search for knowledge drives out the search for love.
[4] I am afraid. Not of life, or death, or nothingness, but of wasting it as if I had never been.
