OH MY GOODNESS this book is gorgeous. Perfect for little ones learning about trees and seasons. Gonna try it in story time.

I'm not entirely sure why the author isn't acknowledged on the cover of the book. BUT it is a great book about the seasons.

Beautiful colors, details, and layers aside, I love the texture of the cover and the pages. More often than not, if I'm drawn in by the physical experience of a book, I'll enjoy the the story and illustrations, too.

Excellent illustrations, the story is well put around different seasons and the peek-through element is well embedded. Wonderful for exploring the joy of books and learning about animals and seasons.

A watchful owl observes the changes of seasons and the animals that come and go. Simple rhymes, detailed pictures, and layers of the tree were fun. However I liked Teckentrup’s Home peek-through picture book much more.

I loved the illustrations in this book, the cuts that create holes in key places and the continuity of it, how the animals change slightly from one page to another so that it also narrates a story through its images.

Gorgeous, gorgeous... but weirdly, there are places where the text refers to visual elements that are not carried through in the art.
