Read for my Queer/Trans Non-Modern Class. Cross dressing lesbians. Roman Gods playing tricks on each other. This play inspired Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, one of my favorites. Adding this little known play to that list as well!

This play made so much more sense after reading Ovid's Metamorphoses

(Not even because of any direct links plot wise but I understood the classical references. Felt much more satisfying to like whenever I've tried to read texts in the past heavy on greek mythology)
