Received via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and unbiased review

Written by a family of 8 siblings, this is a short, sweet, vibrant, and powerful story book about being proud of yourself. Proud of your heritage, proud of your skin, proud of your amazing hair. Never let the world tell you what you're supposed to look like, because hip hop hair don't stop.

I love this. The illustrations, the words, the ENERGY. It's impossible to read this without smiling.

I received this book as an ARC through Netgalley.

I recommend this to young girls up to adults. It shows how “hip hop hair” is GOOD hair even though it may not be the norm. It shows that we are more than our hair, our hair is an added bonus on what makes us, us. Quick read and great illustrations of great representation.

Very cute, very hip, and a very important message. As a biracial black woman who had to learn to love her curls, this book is so important.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this advanced copy which I received in return for an honest review.
