This was going to be a 5 stars but u messed it all up for me mr layman with that sidestory about the present when we are 6 years in the past.
So lets talk about the epic main story for me the best thing layman wrote in his run, he tells the story of batman year zero but for another hero who rises in that time james gordon.
Batman plays a minimal role in this even though we feel his shadow is huge, after all he saved the hero of this story from certain death.
Its always nice and refreshing for me reading stories about the time gcpd cleaned house and startes arrezting croaked cops.
That dead girl from the black mask gang robbery her face might haunt me the entire day she felt like she represented a whole nation dying...
