sweet conclusion to the story of lara jean song covey & peter kavinsky 🫶🏻

thoughts while reading
p3: something SPECTACULAR would have to be happening to convince me to stay out any longer than 10pm, never mind 1am!
p84: thank God she got in somewhere!
p89: no cause me or my brother would actually have to defend ourselves from being murdered if we told our parents that our partner was gonna sleep in our room
p102: AHHHHH
p117: GIRL!! ❤️
p121:
"Will you please stop calling me Ms. Rothschild? Now that I'm going to be your wicked stepmother, you should at least call me Trina. Or Tree. Whatever feels right to you."
"How about Stepmother?" I suggest, all innocence. "That feels pretty right."
She swats at me. "Girl! I will cut you."
I'M CACKLING
p129:
"Kristen is a grown woman, so I'm sure she'll be fine with whatever us kids do. She's an adult."
as a 20 year old i take slight issue with this, as I would abso-freaking-lutely not "just be fine with what the kids wanna do". but then again my brain isn't fully developed and kirsten's is so maybe she would be more understanding
p182: my heart is imploding 🥰
p183: peter made the cake himself?! 🥺😭
p203: i predict that lara jean will end up at
UNC

p230: shhhh trina, you'll make dan ban lara jean from going!
p321: an amended contract 🥺🥺🥺

I think this was my favourite instalment of the series.
Peter really won me over in this book.
It was such a sweet, feel-good read.

- Fast paced and more engaging/entertaining than the other books. There’s more romance and more scenes that I enjoyed.
- I actually liked Lara Jean and Petemore in this book than the others. I still don’t see them lasting together in college though. Things feel forced between them sometimes. There’s more drama in this book which made it more engaging.
- Dr. Covey and Trina are so cute together! The proposal was so sweet. I liked them as a couple more than Lara Jean and Peter sometimes.
- Lara Jean is one of my favorite main characters and this book was the best in the trilogy.
- It was bittersweet reading about Lara Jean and her friends graduating and going to college. Every character has growth which I appreciated. I also feel like we got learn more about them in this book.

I don’t get how the other moved on so fast from all the absolute CRAP Peter pulled in the last book. Team John Ambrose for LIFE. Also all of the wedding talk was SO annoying to read through. It felt like most of the book and it wasn’t even her wedding.

It's her senior year, and Lara Jean has so much to look forward to - a class trip, graduation, prom, beach week, and her father's wedding. Everything is going according to plan, until she gets some unexpected news that will force her to rethink her plans.

💭 T H O U G H T S

I enjoyed being back in Lara's world, and this was a quick and easy read. Unfortunately, it didn't have much substance and contained a lot of fluff. I appreciated the baking aspect, as well as the references to Anne of Green Gables. The writing is somewhat juvenile, which contributes to the lighthearted nature of the entire trilogy.

I still loved Kitty's character, and I would definitely pick up a book written from her perspective. I also enjoyed getting a glimpse into the relationship between Mrs. Rothschild and each of the three Song girls, and how each evolved.

At the end of the day, this was a decent wrap up and the trilogy was definitely fun, but nothing earth shattering.
