Not quite what I thought but it was definitely a pirate book! Lots of violence and gore, some sex, and some dire straits.

I didn’t quite buy the relationship and the ending was definitely HFN but I’d be interested in reading more as there are unresolved threads to this book.

Overall, a very enjoyable read. Just didn't feel like much character growth, more like still getting to know the characters throughout the plot.

I picked this up because it was free and I have to say I'm intrigued. 

It was was a short, very fast paced book, but I enjoyed very much. It could have had a little more build up at some points, but for a free book it was great. 

Also the characters are very charming, even if the relationship could have had a bit more build up as well. 

I really liked it and might continue the series.
