3'5, una lectura rapidita y con un un mundo bastante curioso, el slowburn (todo lo slow que puede ser un libro cortito) bastante bueno, he chillado en varias ocasiones y todos los personajes me caen bastante bien

I kind of liked the overall story, but I found Kailigh annoying at times, and I thought that more could have been shown at the end.

Cinvarra, Kailigh’s daughter, is dying and Maddugh is the only one that can help her, so Kailigh makes a deal with him. The deal included Kailigh and her three daughters going to his castle with him, where not much really happens.

Maddugh throws a party, and yet there is no courting. He tries to convince Kailigh to give him a chance so that she could be his queen, but even when she does eventually agree, she keeps acting on her own and they never act like partners.

There were several side characters, (Kailigh has three daughters and Maddugh has three sons), but I don’t think I’d call them well developed. Nuaddan never appears and Hrutha acts differently each time (Maddugh’s sons). I didn’t understand Cinvarra’s lack of self-preservation, and Persia didn’t really stand out in any way (Kailigh’s daughters). Serephone sounds interesting, not only because of her personality, but also because of her skills. Amnan was another character that I look forward to reading about.

While this book wasn’t the best (mostly because of Kailigh’s character), I still want to try the next book in the series as I’m very curious about Amnan and Serephone, and I really hope that Serephone is different.

World building is good. getting the lay of the land seemed a bit difficult at first, but went better in time. All scenes and environments were well detailed and felt real.

Character development was decent. We got a good grip on how Kailigh and her 3 daughters lived and survived in the Outlands. How they laid low, not wanting to bring more attention to themselves than needed. All of that for nothing since Kai needed Maddugh's help in saving Cin's life, he notices that they're not quite human and there we go!
It was nice reading a book about a mature woman with (grown up) children. It just feels that they have a tad more wisdom, I would say also some reluctance to running straight into danger.. but no, that's pretty much Kai and her daughters :)
While we got to know the basics on pretty much all players, nothing really in depth, not on Kailigh's side nor on Maddugh's. Hopefully more of that puzzle will be solved in the next installments.

Pacing and flow were good, not too much downtime, some funny facepalm-moments and right back into the action. It didn't feel rushed, the story was told in its own time.

The book itself was well written with only some very small errors here and there (nothing that would throw you out of the story) and yes, there is sex described.

All in all it was better than what I had anticipated, so that made me very happy :) The characters do feel a tad superficial at this time, but hope that will get resolved with more backstory/info in the next instalment.

Fun feisty read. A heroine who is violent and a mate who loves her that way. Finished this in less than 24 hours and it was tasty good time. Hope there are more soon!

Meh...it had some good promise. Why do people think "bitchy" equals "tough"? I liked it fine enough though. Just wish Kai wasn't such a bitch. Plus she's only like 40, but she acts like she 70. If you take shot every time she tells someone she's old you will die. So don't do that.

This was a random grab and I loved it. Badass women, badass men, skulduggery, I just wanted it to be longer! Super fun even if the ending seemed a wee bit abrupt.

This was a solid dragon-shifter fantasy/romance with a strong heroine, a light fairy tale thread, and fun worldbuilding. I have to admit I like the cover better than the book...but that's just because I really, really like the cover.
