I picked up this Ford Motor Co. guide to station wagon-based recreation at an estate sale a while back, because the pictures looked like fun. I wasn't disappointed - the cars and camping gear were all right out of my childhood. The best part is the "Children" section, which includes some "car seats" and backseat "cribs," which look like certain deathtraps from today's hyper-safety-conscious vantage point. Brought back lots of fond memories of driving to friends' cabins with four or five kids stuffed into the rear cargo area of a station wagon...with no safety devices whatsoever.
