Things I liked:

• This was just a joy to read. It was clever, emotional, and sweet all in one. I loved the ridiculous beginning. 
• Griff was such a great surprise. In the beginning he comes off really shallow and then he ends up having so much depth. 

Things I didn’t like: 

• I never like when
  characters go separate ways at the end before working things out
  but it all ended up okay so I just overlooked that.

Kicking off 2024 with some good ol Historical Romance! Really loved this one - Tessa Dare strikes a wonderful balance between comedic moments with her fish out of water heroine and also some deeply heartful and emotional histories of both main characters. Can't wait to dive into the rest of the series!

So good!! Every part of this story progressed as it should’ve. It didn’t feel overly drawn out and all character motivations made sense. I loved these characters and rooted for them every step of the way.

Literally so good and people are NOT lying when they say the desk bang about 2/3 in is the best sex scene of any historical romance ever. 

I need to say, from reading the reviews, you need to suspend some disbelief when reading a historical romance. It's fiction, and it's fun, and it's always going to have a happy ending. Don't think too hard about it, just enjoy it. 

Tessa Dare writes such witty, funny heroines and such deeply flawed and good and sexy heroes. I absolutely adored Griff and Pauline. 

I think it's important to reflect on the fact that she wasn't the one who was solely raised to Duchess height. He also deliberately lowered his wealth and standing to make them as equal as possible. 

 I wish we saw the Duchess in the epilogue! 

I need to finish the rest of Spindle Cove!
