It's been a minute since I read this one and I definitely forgot or wasn't listening when shit really kicks off in this book. Seriously gruesome descriptions and no punches pulled. I love this one.

june 2022 review- idk what i was thinking this is a masterpiece lol

june 2021 review- 3.5 really solid 80s horror novel. this was spooky and had a lot of great ideas. my complaints are that i wish it was a bit longer and i felt like i knew where the story was going from early on. however, really well done. i loved the southern gothic vibes. it was also a lot more… brutal than i was expecting so points for that. i think this was a great book but just a bit predictable for me, probably because it was written before similar story structures were popularized.
