What a fun, gorgeously done book! Informative and interesting. Made me want to watch his movies and listen to the Velvet Underground.

I'm a sucker for abbreviated artist biographies. This was a high-level synopsis of a clearly tortured man. I dig Pop Art; I doubt I'd have been able to stomach Warhol the dude.

(Unrelated: How come the author inserted herself in the final pages of the book? That felt discordant.)

"This is Warhol" is a great quick read! All the photos of his work and illustrations make it fun. You learn a surprising amount about Andy Warhol's life and his work. If you are a fan of him or have a general interest in pop art I think you'll enjoy it. This is a quick read though so if you're looking for an in depth biography you may want to look elsewhere.

This books is written in the style of a children's book, but with adult vocabulary. I learned a good deal from it, but was basically offended by its tone and style.

This is a short graphic biography of Andy Warhol's life and work. It's a great read if you want a quick and digestible overview of Warhol, but not if you want to dig in and learn all the nitty, gritty details of Warhol's life and work. The illustrations are great and the selection of artist's works are just right for an introduction.
