Found a new series to follow. Loved this one.

It took me awhile to get used to the authors writing style. I think she is a bit ADD. Once I settled in I found I really enjoyed it. I never got bored that's for sure.

There is a lot going on in this book and I really like that. You get a bit of everything horror, action , blood & guts, friendship and romance. It is put together very well and makes you want more.

This is a vampire book but unlike any other I have read. These vampires are much more human-like and are in danger of being eradicated by bigoted humans who are afraid of not being on the top of the food chain. Parallels can be drawn to real life social issues of our past and present.

Can't wait for the next one.

When I first picked up Blood Judgement I had no idea what to expect. This was my first experience with author Nickie Asher and I must say I'm in awe. The world she has created is hardly make believe if we replace the vampires for the WWII Jews and mix them with the South African population suffering during the Apartheid. My heart ached and my mind reeled at the similarities between the two worlds. Not a single detail was left to chance in this book. The characters are multi-faceted and the plot is intricate and complex. The internal dialogue was at times heart-wrenching making it impossible to put the book down. Best of all, Ms. Asher had me holding my breath until the very last minute. This full-length novel and first in the series is definitely a must read.
