I'm glad Win is back and as dark as ever...and I enjoyed the twists and turns. I found this one to be heartbreaking....and a good reminder that sometimes the choices that we make to "save us" are the ones that end up destroying instead.

Harlan Coben never misses. This was an amazing thriller and probably one of my favourites in the entire series. It was dark, twisty and heartbreaking. I loved getting some of Win’s POV - he is my favourite character and so much fun to read about. Myron actually took a backseat in this and in my opinion Win was the star of the show. The writing was great, it was fast paced and a definite page turner. The plot was quite complex and there were some twists that I wasn’t expecting. I had a lot of theories but none were exactly right - I loved the reveal and what it ended up being. The last few chapters were intense and the ending was very emotional. I loved the final twists in the epilogue and the ending in general was amazing.

New to me

I just read this book after seeing the author’s name in Stephen King’s new book. I’m so glad I read it.

I always love Harlan Coben's books and this was no exception. This is my first of the Myron Bolitar series, but even coming in at #11, I really enjoyed it. The story was great, with realistic and complex characters. With books like this, you always know there will be a twist, because there always is, but I didn't see this one coming until a few pages before the reveal.
