I’m a Batman girl so admittedly I’ve been hesitant to check out these cutesy looking Harley Quinn volumes. I love this character and I think she should be treated with some dignity; she’s a smart woman and a victim of abuse.
Unfortunately, my worst fears were confirmed. Cutesy story with an animal shelter and not much else happening, endless beaver jokes, and Ivy’s characterization also felt off. Overall, a very disappointing outing.
This would be a 1 Star but the artwork was quite nice to look at.
