I fell in love with K Patrick’s writing last year when I read their debut novel Mrs. S. I was really excited about their new poetry collection because I just love what they do with language. Three Births did not disappoint.

The way they write about bodies, queerness, gender, the everyday, and nature feels so overwhelming, in a good way. They talk about queer bodies as saintly, bossy, erotic—sometimes all at the same time. I feel like I could revisit these poems over and over again and feel new and different things.

some of my favorites: Hypochondria of the Heart (maybe my favorite of the collection), Swarm, Butch, Procession, Loch.
