I LOL’d so so many times. It was such a fun book and I just love the writing style of this author and all the cultural quirkiness included too! The narrator did an amazing job!

2.5 stars rounded up. There was some fun humor in this book but it got too ridiculous and outrageous to me towards the end. I know this isn't realism but I just couldn't suspend my disbelief anymore. It will probably be a fun movie...

This was fun! It read like an Indonesian/Chinese version of Jane the Virgin mixed with Weekend at Bernie’s. So much ridiculousness wrapped up with family stereotypes and a hidden dead body for good measure. It’s hard to describe what this book truly was other than a really fun time!

Didn't enjoy this one quite as much as vera wong or honestly even the author's ya books, but sutanto's brand of humor still makes it a fun read. I think the amount of focus on the romance just made this one not quite for me, but I'd still recommend it, especially for readers who seek out romcoms, esp second chance romances.
