As I listened to this book I realized that there was clearly some history to this character (and there is, this is second in series, and Jackie was a minor character in another series), but the background wasn’t necessary to enjoy this book. This is clearly not high-brow literature, but it was a good enough story and had enough humor to make it an enjoyable listen on a long car trip.
