This was my first time reading something by Ivy Wild, and I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I actually really enjoyed it! “Total Obsession” is a dark romance that had a little something for everyone - betrayal, passion, revenge, angst, hate, love… it was definitely a wild ride from start to finish!!! Axe and Zoey’s love story was wild, passionate, and intense, and I was hooked from beginning to end. I didn’t always agree with the choices Axe made, but he was a very interesting and complex character to read about. As for Zoey, I thought she was super sweet, although a little naive at times. I would recommend to fans of dark and/or stalker romance!!!

These two slayed me. Between the beginning being incredibly hard to read and the ending being absolute perfection, the pages in between made me believe that good people can make mistakes, bad guys can make good decisions and not all your friends can be trusted. This book had twists and turns, drama and entertainment and so much more! Bravo on Axe and Zoey!

This author takes us on a roller-coaster ride of emotions with this story.
Axe and Zoey are best friends until the first week of high school when she takes the popular route and turns her back on him. Axe has had a hard life filled with abuse, and Zoey was the one bright spot in his life until that day.
Fast forward fifteen years later, and he's been working his way up in the Mafia while she has been making a name for herself as a model. Unknown to her, he has been pulling strings to help her along the way. He reentered her life just as she was switching careers to acting. He has his revenge all planned out.
Ms. Wild manages to keep us wondering how long Axe is going to be able to hold on to the grudge as he starts to see Zoey is not the person he remembers. We wonder how Zoey doesn't see that things aren't adding up in what Axe is telling her. But she wants to believe he's still the same sweet boy she remembers.
Nothing is ever as what you think it is. This is very well written.

Oh, my aching heart. That is what I was feelings the whole time I was reading this book. I literally could not stop reading and won't have even if I could. I was so invested in Axe and Zoey's story. If there was ever a couple that was endgame it is them.

From the beginning, I could tell that Axe and Zoey shared a deep emotional connection. So, when the situation that tore them apart happened, it hurt hard. Therefore, I did not blame Axe for his feelings towards Zoey and for the revenge he wanted to enact towards Zoey. While I knew it was only a matter of time for the backlash to happen, I still held out hope that Axe would not hurt Zoey.

I am such an emotional mess after reading this book but in a good way. I am totally obsessed but this book!

Check triggers!

Stalker, revenge,and second Chance romance

Aksel and Zoey were friends when they were younger and then on the first days of High School treated Axe like crap because her new friends didn’t like him and everything went downhill from there and he disappeared. Fifteen years later he shows up again and Zoey’s now a model/Actress.

This story has a few twists and turns, it’s really good but I wish the ending would of been different.

4.5 stars! I really enjoyed this. I loved the story and the character development. This was a wonderful second chance romance that starts out as revenge. The only reason I gave this 4.5 stars and not a full 5 stars is because the ending seemed a little too easy. I hit the 90% mark and had no idea how these characters were going to get out of the mess they found themselves in. It's not that I don't believe the ending (I mean it is a fictional story), but the resolution felt really easy.

This is only my second book by Ivy Wild. I thoroughly enjoyed her last book, Beautiful Surrender, and gave it a rare 5 stars. So I was really disappointed to read this book. I even put off reviewing because of that disappointment.

So this book is about Axe and Zoey. We meet them when they are just in their adolescence and starting high school. And then Zoey betrays Axe in a way that creates a new trajectory in his life and he disappears. 15 years later and they are two totally different people. Zoey is a successful model who is transitioning to acting and Axe is an assassin who is masquerading as a successful but mysterious business man.

The part that was hard for me was the neither of them are very likable. I found Axe to be weird and slightly demeaning (and not in a hot alphahole way). I found Zoey to be whiny and over-emotional. And the fact that even though they haven't seen each other in over 15 years, they could fall into a "romantic" relationship so easily when they had no romance what-so-ever when they were young. Axe definitely had feelings for Zoey when he was young, but it was never a romantic relationship between them. So for them to fall into a relationship so easily now, felt rushed and out of nowhere.

I think that the fact that we were just supposed to accept this rushed relationship and everything that happens between them was hard for me to swallow. I couldn't really immerse myself into this book or the world it built. I was looking forward to another read by Ivy Wild but it fell far short of my expectations.

Holy hot damn! To say I am obsessed is a total understatement! This book was so good!! Axe and Zoey ooff are chefs kiss! This is totally a 5 star read! Ivy has out done herself with this one! Stalker meets Mafia is definitely my new favorite troupe. That ending though!!! I really love how she also included all those pictures in between! Ivy is definitely one of my favorites! If you want a stalker/obsessive man then Axe is your guy!

I received this as an ARC and will be giving my honest opinion.

This is the first book I have read by Ivy Wild and I was hooked from the start! I even cried in the beginning. Axe is out for revenge from the start when the one and only person he trusted betrays him. He hatches a lifelong plan but can he truly follow through when his obsession becomes a little too consuming?

This story had a sad beginning and I get why each character felt the way they did. I think that the story takes you through a lot and i was not a fan of Zoey but there is great growth by the end. No spoilers of course but if you like dark, obsessive, betrayal it's worth the read. The spice was really good too.

Overall I gave it 4 of 5 stars.
