Amira is a great addition in the Logan West universe. In this book about Task Force Ares by Matthew Betley we get to know Amira a little more and some gaps in the universe gets filled in. Great book with lots of action and thrilling situations, although i feel sorry for Chris Hauty. I think that Betleys characters are well put together and his writing is excellent. I really recommend that you try this series.

Phenomenal!

This was a great book. I love the characters in this series and this book showed greatly for Amira. We also see a couple of our other main heroes but they don’t take away the spotlight.
My one complaint was I wish this was a full 400 page novel. I would’ve loved to be fully immersed in this universe again.

READ MY FULL REVIEW AT Best Thriller Books

Very few authors in the thriller genre can craft an in your face, throat punch of an action sequence like Matthew Betley. This is something readers have come to expect and Betley continues to deliver each and every time. Though technically a novella, Amira includes as much action and entertainment as a full length novel. As a huge fan of the Logan West series and universe, I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I started reading.

Amira is a story that you’re going to slam out in one sitting. So grab yourself a copy and then buckle up, because once you start reading… you’re not going to stop.

It has been a couple of years since I finished Bettley's Logan West trilogy, and while I've had my issues with his books I generally enjoyed them so I was interested enough to pick up this novella. It follows the character of Amira Cerrone who was one of my favorite side characters from the novels and gives you some of her backstory along with some present-day action. Overall I'd say like the rest of Bettley's work the action and plotting was very good, and his dialogue still seems pretty clunky in spots. Still very enjoyable, and action packed especially for a novella less than 200 pages.
