Theres so many great aspects about this book. I just could not get over the misogyny, though. It quickly became exhausting. I almost find it ironic how he feels casted out of humanity, but is simultaneously so comfortable with dehumanising women.

Anyways, great book in a lot of ways, annoying in a lot of other.

Not for everyone, not for most probably but this book genuinely means so much to me. And will continue to do so

While I expect this may have been partially a translation issue, this book fell a bit flat for me. I found myself looking for more reflection in a lot of our protagonist's description of himself and the reflection that was there often fell short of what I would expect, especially reguarding his relationships with women. I understand how this book could have been valuable to people, especially at the time it was written, but I personally did not find that value in it.

almost terrifying that all feelings that i have ever felt and will feel have been felt by others. despite the clear theme of alienation, i felt understood.
