(using this to log "Legionnaires" (1993) #1-15)
The opening 6-issue arc is perfectly adequate superhero comics with art that really elevates things. Sprouse's art was so good that his costumes and overall aesthetic were used as a basis for the reboot (only a few months after the end of this run). Issues 7 and 8, with art by now-legends Adam Hughes and Colleen Doran, were fun breather issues, my favorite kind of issue.
Issues 9-15, however, were the Legion stuff I don't really like: endlessly alternating subplots with no primary story to tie them together. The art also got worse as it went along, and most issues had a hodgepodge of artists (although the Sprouse and Hughes pages were still great).
The series had some potential at the beginning, but it devolved pretty quickly.
