This one is on par with my other favorites from Christie. The characters were pretty fun, but I did have a hard time keeping things straight at the beginning (as per usual for me), but nevertheless enjoyed it once I remembered who was who. It's a fun read and will have you second guessing yourself. I did enjoy the reveal and depressing ending.

"They conceive a certain theory, and everything has to fit into the theory. If one little fact will not fit it, they throw it aside." - Poirot (cough flat earthers cough)

This was the perfect cozy mystery! I love Hercule Poirot and I totally admire and respect him. I swear he knew who it was since the beginning like he had this all figured out and was just stretching it out to keep the suspense. I had my suspicions on everyone at some point in the book. Half of my suspicion was right but I didn't think it was true since that seemed too easy. But this was an addicting book that I devoured, like I've never wanted to stay up all night just to finish a book. The movie for this is going to be chaotic and I'm here for it.

trigger warnings: murder, gunshot wound, suicide mention and suicide attempt, fatphobia, racism against Egyptian and Chinese people, racism in general, murder, alcoholism, sexism and misogyny

I spent such a long time sitting there finding clues mapping out suspects and I knew the golden rule of all mysteries and YETTTTT. Next time though next time I will prevail.
