A really nice, gentle little book. Really captures the feeling of being a child who doesn't quite fit in and who has very big feelings about the world around them.
Moderate: Terminal illness
Minor: Bullying, Body shaming, and Death

I found this while browsing Scribd by publishers and discovered Pushkin Press' collection of Japanese novellas. Honestly it was the nice matching covers which first attracted me but the synopses all sound interesting as well. This one was a strange read, about a boy who becomes obsessed with the woman who sells sandwiches in a supermarket. It's written as a stream of consciousness and touches on themes of friendship and loss and growing up. It was more heartwarming and moving than I expected for such a short read and I'm definitely interested in the others in the collection.
Moderate: Death, Dementia, and Terminal illness
