We are finally getting somewhere in Book 2 of the Throne of Glass series. The writing is better, and the plot is shaping up to be something I am invested in. The characters are still annoying me as often as I’m rooting for them. The miscommunication and secret keeping is part of the game, but if people were just more honest and open after making that first step toward trust we wouldn’t have a book, I guess.

This is readable and a fun romp. Which is a good thing.
