Was a good short story. I enjoyed finding out more about Jake and his life, even though he's kind of a scumbag... Can't wait to read the next book. Glad it was only 99 cents on Kindle...I would've been mad if such a short little thing cost more than that.

OMFG. Am I supposed to feel bad for this guy now? Well I don't.
I get that he doesn't want any responsibilities. But he left because he saw the photo of this FIFTEEN year old girl he hooks up with occasionally and then he's like sad since he's impotent now "But if there was anyone who could get him up again, it was Lindsay Morrow. Just seeing her body in her bathing suit on the photo had almost done it for him."
Gah.
I'm so sad that in the end, this fifteen year old hot girl couldn't get you going Jake, EVEN after you gave her a snickers bar. So sad...not.

Great short story about Jake, and where he went after he left the hospital, and a bit of before the incident, and how he had a sophomore girl to hook up with, and yeah, just a bit sad.

Interesting to see what Jake did after abandoning the others at the Greenway, who he gave his gun to, and why he comes back. Nothing special, but a good read

Creo que hay autores que les encanta torturar a sus lectores, igual que never never, esta continuación de Monument 14 es extremadamente cortitaaaaa y te deja con el sabor de ¿y ahora queeeeeeee???? En estas breves páginas, la autora nos muestra que ocurrió con Jake al llegar al hospital y ver los avisos de perdidos y buscados en las paredes. Fue una historia demasiado corta y que si bien muestra las cosas desde el punto de vista de Jake en lugar de que termine de reconciliarme con el personaje lo terminé detestando aún más. A pesar de todo le doy 4 estrellas y quiero más sobre la historia, más intriga, saber más sobre lo que ocurre en el pueblo.

I don't much like apocalypses, but this was alright. It had a pretty realistic protagonist, even though he wasn't much fun to read he was done well.
