wow what a wild ride !!! could’ve done to be a little shorter but i so enjoyed it nonetheless. found it so so enthralling and full of funny and a bit deranged moments but overall a very intriguing book! mostly loved reading about sisi and whatever antics she was up to, i found ludwig more of a side character than anything, he was a bit boring.

A thoroughly tragicomic novel that reads like if Bravo broke into the literary scene. We follow Sisi and Ludwig on their melancholic and fanciful journeys while they live their lives under a 19th century magnifying glass. Aptly named, I thought it was interesting how the narrative skated between both the literal and metaphorical performances taking place within the motley crew of the European aristocracy present.
