My heart broke a little when General Old Iron left. I'm so glad it was reconciled in the end. I really like the spiritual thing-in-itself here. The creators of Avatar do so much to explore that and execute it very well in their mythology.

** spoiler alert ** So overall, I think this one was less successful than the previous arcs, and it dragged on a bit. Still, the bit where Toph tells her father "if you knew anything about me, you wouldn't be worried about your survival right now because I'm the greatest earthbender who ever lived" gave me goosebumps and made me cry. Overall, I think this was only fine, but the stories of each of these arcs does a great job of bridging the world of ATLA with the world of Korra in a way that I find very satisfying. Onward!

My favorite comic in the series so far. “It is not human nature to dominate, but to create.”

An excellent ending to the trilogy, and healing for those
with daddy issues
