I'm so glad I found a book that addresses the parallels between the deep sea and outer space, because I've always loved how similar they can be despite being drastically different things. But this was only an okay story. Not sure it hooked me enough to continue on. I felt like I didn't get to know any of the characters except Mia, the narrator. And the concept of the sea spiders is super interesting. Ironically, I just didn't think this story had as much depth as it needed.

Holy shit. I hadn't heard anything about this, and it is SO good. It is everything I have always wanted from Matt Kindt, plus the possibility of extra-weird sea monsters. Just go read it right now. DO IT.

This book is a lie...it has nothing to do with my life. A secret department focused on monitoring and influencing me...pure fiction. The watercolors are pretty though.
