Really enjoyable read! If you are just dipping your toes into philosophy this introduces you into a lot of the important conversations and the people who had them fast and you can do a deeper dive on any of those topics later. It's also pretty funny and the analogies are helpful

Good overview of the very basics of the big names/ideas in the philosophy "canon." I'm trying to plan a philosophy unit as part of an English class, and I was hoping there was more that I could use in class. It also acknowledges that because it's the canon, it's all European guys. I'll have to keep looking for accessible philosophy books that include Eastern and international philosophy.

A good, relatively easy to understand introduction to Western Philosophy. While some philosophers are given very brief, cursory explanations (and others none at all), it does the job of giving a basic overview of the basic concepts of western philosophy. It is a starting point, complete with appendix of where to explore further.
