Like Robot Dreams, no dialogue is used to tell the story, but the message gets across subtly. I loved it.

No words, so my daughter could tell me the story for a change. Or could if she had words (she's only 12 months old). :) We'll revisit this book when she does.

It's amazing what Sara Varon can do to create lovable characters without having them ever speak.

Chicken and Cat are friends and Cat is visiting Chicken in the city. The two have lots of fun together--ice cream and Coney Island among other things. But Cat notices that the city is lacking in something. So Cat and Chicken decide to do something about it and the result both strengthens their friendship and beautifies the city.

Charming wordless picture book about friendship. Although the illustrations are simple, they are incredible. Great little story that has a big impact.

Another practically wordless book by Varon. (There is print in the environment.) A take on city mouse, country mouse. And what you can do to make your world a little brighter. Fabulous.

This is an utterly charming wordless storybook about a cat who visits his friend, a chicken, in the city. Cat is dismayed by how devoid of green space Chicken's neighborhood is, and together they devise a scheme to remedy this. Varon's drawings are wonderfully simple, yet emotive, and the story just delighted me to no end. I found this at my library, and I'm seriously considering buying myself a copy. I just loved it.

After "reading" Robot Dreams this little picture book was a huge let down. I was expecting a creative, funny, and clever story and all I got was a country cat in the BIG City cliche, total letdown

A near-nauseatingly-cute wordless adaptation of City Mouse, Country Mouse. A fun way to introduce new readers to comics.

What's way cool is that my son, at a year and a half, knows what Central park is! Can;t wait to take him there someday!
