Really loved this book. I think 5-6th grade boys will enjoy it. It is on the Texas Bluebonnet list for 2020/2021 which is a list for 3rd-6th graders and I do not think it is appropriate for 3/4 grades. There is a part where the main character, a 12 yo boy talks about his knowledge or lack thereof of the female anatomy and he mentiona his uncle's "cheesecake" magazines where he it ever saw legs and garters. Not for 8 yo. Great book though!
