The story is cute - all the animals would cause a ruckus if they came in the house - but it's Marc Brown's collage art that makes this book stand out. Nice rhyme, nice vocabulary (gibbons and lemurs, etc.) - mostly, just nice.

I liked the rhyming verse of this book. The illustrations are wonderful and original. And the story shows a great imagination and consideration of what it would be like if all the animals lived in side.

A wonderfully funny book, perfect for reading aloud with the little ones. The art work is amazing - I love the collages mixed with real objects. Simply perfect and a whole LOT of fun!

Rhythmic text that just begs to be read aloud with bright, vivid illustrations make this book a fantastic group read aloud. It's a little on the long side so skip a spread or two if the kids get a little restless, but definitely have them join you on each "Oh what a terrible mess we would make!"
Just plain fun!!

Due to it's length this silly book would be best for preschoolers. Includes rhyming words, sound words (boom, bang etc.) has a good pace to the plot, a silly story line and interesting illustrations
