I enjoy graphic novels and comic compilations, so this was a very enjoyable and quick read. As a white US-ian who is not Muslim, I appreciate the time and care Fahmy put into these comics to shed light on the problems Muslim and hijabi women and femmes face, using her dry and ironic humor (which I loved). Fahmy has 3 other published compilations, which I have library holds on and will read as soon as they’re available.

The comics are disjointed and not particularly well drawn, but that can work well for comics like this series, xkcd, Hyperbole and a Half, etc. It's a quick, funny read

I've been a fan of Huda Fahmy's comics on Instagram for awhile, so I really enjoyed reading this compilation! The things Fahmy has to put up with as a Muslim American woman are shocking, but she manages to find humor in these tough situations and deal with them with grace and restraint. The art is a bit simplistic but it gets the message across, and the characters are all so adorable!
