Well written but not very interesting. I got bored with the copycat story and was never pulled in.

When a power couple moves back to a small town, a therapist begins taking patients in his new office.   Unbeknownst to him, his sessions can be heard through the ceiling vent, and listening in becomes an obsession.  But right as the sessions get more and more intriguing and a mysterious new patient arrives, the therapist goes missing.  And nothing is as it seems.

Rating: 5/5
Spice: 0/5
Narration: 5/5

Tropes:
Dual POV
Who is the Bad Guy?
No One is What They Seem
Homage to Misery

Triggers:
Car Accident
Missing Person
Confinement

My Thoughts:
This book really shocked me in that the reader should not assume anything.  You think you have it all figured out and then another twist you had no idea could exist gets popped into the story.  Add an homage to Misery by Stephen King, and this book just about perfect. Bravo to the narrator who somehow pulled this off without spoiling the twist!

DNF @ 40%.
It's clear where this is going & it just isn't grabbing me. I love an unreliable narrator, but something about this book just feels so disjointed to read & so for that reason, I'm out

It started pretty slow and I was thinking about DNFing, but that middle plot twist kept me glued to my phone.
