It's like Orange is the New Black meets Zimbabwe. Like OITNB, we have an unreliable narrator and we meet lots of interesting characters with sad stories. None are sadder than that of Memory, the narrator, who is an Albino woman sold to a white man by her parents. She is wanted for his murder, but did she do it? She looks back over the course of her life and charts the landscape of a changing Zimbabwe as well.

This book was very hard to get into. It was slow going , and the words is Shona peppered throughout the next made it very difficult to follow. I couldn't relate to any of the characters.

Tarkoitukseni lukea seuraavien vuosien aikana (vähintään) yksi romaani kaikista maailman maista vei minut tällä kertaa Zimbabween.
