I came in to this series with book 4 so I missed the original story of how Nathaniel and Abby met, developed their Dominant/submissive relationship, and fell in love. Without having read that and jumping in to their established relationship did hinder me a little bit but really I enjoyed reading how a couple in a long-term relationship balanced life, family, and their dynamic. Abby is stretching her wings as a writer and with new opportunities Nathanial begins demanding more from their relationship. Can she accept his desires or has their relationship come to an end? Really great read, smart and sexy. Makes me want to go back and start at the beginning of the series so I'll really understand the dynamics and love between Nathanial and Abby.

I managed to finish this within less than 7 hours. I have always found Tara Sue Me's books easy to read and enjoyable with the funny banter and the relationship between Abby and Nathaniel. I really enjoyed The Enticement and give it 3.7 stars, as I constantly kept me interested especially the epilogue at the end!!! However there where bits were I believed it dragged a bit and I had to push myself to read on, but it was definitely worth it. the extract from The Collar seams really interesting and I cannot wait to get my pre-order for the book. I do recommend this book because it really had me intrigued the majority of the time and Tara Sue Me doesn't have an extremely intense writing style. Making it enjoyable and I didn't have to over think things that's I may not have otherwise understood.

Ok - this is late but here is the thing about this book. I loved it. I loved reading about Abby and Nathaniel’s love story. But this was different. Now they are married with jobs and children and are trying to navigate new responsibilities with desires and temptations that brought them together in the first place.

As I read the books and saw the shift in their relationship, I found it interesting that through everything - Nathaniel wanted more control and Abby need the success of knowing she gave him what he needed. The scene in the book that stuck out to me the most was when he gave her the writing and kneeling assignment. She pouted about it for sure - but she still did it. To fight didn’t meant to stand up for yourself, it meant disappointment. And not that Nathaniel would be disappointed, but Abby would be disappointed in herself.

A very interested dynamic in their relationship which interested me to read this series in the first place. Overall - I loved this book because it gave me more to think about and I felt like a fly on the wall as I read.

I enjoyed this book. Definitely not a favorite. I like Abby and I like how devoted she is to Nathaniel. I love how she starts her blog and begins writing and later gets a job writing. I like her boss, but I didn't like it when she took here to the club and then left her. I hated how Abby got into a little trouble. I love how Nathaniel cares about Abby so much and how he knows exactly what she needs and pushes her. I hated the tension between them and I was so glad they were able to work it out. Overall this book was okay. 3.5 stars.

my review of The Submissive is more detailed
I started the Submissive journey with the idea it was only a trilogy. So you can imagine my surprise when I discovered this one! And surprised I was reading it! It focuses on Abby outside of the bedroom, who she is and who she has become focusing on Nathaniel's needs. But don't worry, it's still steamy! Their dynamic shifts with this one, and it's exciting to watch Abby not only becoming even stronger as a person, but their relationship become stronger as well.

this is my review for The Submissive:
I was recommended this series, and again made the decision to read at least the first one to give it a try. Very quickly I needed more. If you're looking for the perfect D/S relationship book, THIS is the one to dive into! Toss your Fifty Shades and Replace it with Submissive. It's got the D/S hook, it's smutty, it's cheesy, it's instalove, it's complicated, it's fun. When you want to read a D/S book because you're interested in how things could be in the community or because you're in the community, this is the way to go. It has an equal amount of instalove, D/S, and romance. A sweet balance of sweet and spicy. But if you're going to start this one, be prepared to read more of the series.

this is my review for The Dominant:
As a second book in a series rarely does, The Dominant keeps up with The Submissive. Which is surprising, since they're essentially the same story. And although I liked being in Abigail's thoughts, I enjoyed being in Nathaniel's head space even more.

this is my review for The Training:
This one was just as fun to read as the first two in the trilogy. We're comfortable to Abby and Nathaniel. It's sensual, yet there's something pure about it. It explores their trust and the relationship they've managed to build together through trials and tribulations. It's the beautiful, romantic side in a D/S relationship. Something that books rarely explore.

this is my review for The Chalet:
This is a sweet extra for the Submissive series. Definitely written with fans in mind. It doesn't lack steam, but I love how it was really about them as a couple, exploring their dynamic becoming newlyweds.

Relationship

This one tested me. Being in Abigail's headspace was tough this time. I could relate to a lot of what she struggled with as a wife and mother, balancing life's challenges.

I really liked this book in this series. We got to see the life of a couple that is in a D/s relationship with kids and, though i don't have personal experience in their situation, I felt that it was very real. I really liked the dominance in it. I am going to move on with the series.

Not quite 4 stars but gotta round it up. :)

Overall I enjoyed this. Abby and Nathaniel are a favorite BDSM erotica couple. But I felt less of a romantic feel once again. It is still falling short of the beauty that was the first book. I have never been a fan of blatant voyeurism and there was a lot of that here so it wasn't my thing to read much. The inner turmoil from Abby felt very real and was easy to empathize with. I hated seeing the struggles between this great couple. Still a very enjoyable read of their continued relationship.
