I really struggled with this one in comparison to the first - there was very little movement and lots of preparations for fighting and then fighting itself. That being said, the storytelling is immense, world building is incredible, and now I have to wait for the next book!!!!

Kissen is on a quest to eradicate a god while her companions are leading a rebellion against the king. Sunbringer picks up exactly where Godkiller left off so you may need a reminder of what had previously occurred. Elogast must now lead a new army while Inara must unwind her new place in the world. Characters are woven together in a story which deals with how the ostracised groups can unite and take on the rulers. A strong sequel which delivers on strong character interaction in a fantastical world and sets up for the final act.
