This is a cute and colorful book for young children. It has a nice flow throughout and helps to teach children the alphabet as well as common words that begin with each letter. This book is put together using the letters to mostly help children to place which animal begins with which letter. However, there are some letters that do not have anything to with animals when I think that they could have. I understand that not every young child is going to know what some of the more not as well known animals are, but isn't that what helps to make reading a learning process? I think that sometimes there needs to be words that a child would not otherwise know without asking someone to explain to them what the word means or what the word is. The reason I say this is because it can not only help to improve their reading but it can also help to improve the amount of new information obtained through reading the book.

Thank you to NetGalley.com and Capstone Young Readers for allowing me access to this title.

This is a fun alphabet book. It has wonderful illustrations and was simple enough for my young children to read.

Oh how I love this book! My daughter and I were at the library trying to decide what books to take home and read before bedtime and this book was our first pick. I have read this book in the past when my little one was much smaller and to see that my home library had this book on its shelves was the best.

This book helped my little girl remember not just her ABC's but different things that represent each letter in a fun way. It was adorable seeing how excited my little one was when she could say each character and letter as I pointed to them. A beautiful book indeed.

Great alliteration and fun rhymes really bring out the entertainment value of the illustrations. No boring "A is for Alligator" here!

I might increase the star rating to 5 once I can see how a child in the target age group responds, but from a parent's perspective this should be a fun read for toddlers, and one which will stretch their vocabulary.

Another alphabet book to add to the pile. However the fantastic illustrations help it stand out as well as the use of varying animals that you might not find in other books. Plus the rhymes are right on. They flow easily.

I thought this was such an adorable book! The illustrations are adorable and bright and definitely eye catching. I really enjoyed that some of the animals used in the book weren't common. I find that a lot of board books tend to repeat the same animals over and over again, but The Alphabet Parade threw some new ones in there to change things up a bit. I also thought the rhyming was cute and made the story much more enjoyable.

I did attempt to read this to my almost 8 month old son, however, since it was an ebook he was much more interested in trying to touch my iPad than pay attention to the story.

This is one I would have no problem reading repeatedly to my son.

I received this book via netgalley.
