I've received a free copy of the ebook via Making Connections group, so thanks to them and Kate Spofford for letting me read it.
I have to admit that in the beginning it was difficult for me to get into the story. The story seemed a bit shallow and a lot of idle information was given. Also, some things seemed confusing.
However, when I was about a fourth into the book, I really started to get into it. I started to figure out some things about some of the characters and there was no more idle information given. I started to enjoy reading it and was curious about how it was going to end.
I also would like to add that certain actions and thoughts of Sophie seemed familiar and that I found her a very convincing character. In the end you also learn how she became to be like that and than you really feel for her.
All in all, a really good (and slightly emotional) book.

Although I liked this book I just thought it was a little too The Bell Jar at the end! I mean the story was good and I loved the progression of the novel! But just a certain bit echoed The Bell Jar too much and considering Sophie mentioned it in the book I think it was little too cliche! However that is my only critique of this book!
