I absolutely adored this series. I think it might even be Rick’s best written series. I’m glad he was able to fix some of the issues he created in HOO, as well as set up for some new novels.

Apollo is such a well written anti-hero and his development was wonderful. Meg also had so much depth to her storyline and personality. The way Rick tackled complex family dynamics and the trauma of abusive authority figures made this series more mature than his previous.

There were so many important issues touched on while showing friendship, kindness, and humanity prevailing.

"You'll come back?" she asked.
"Always," I promised. "The sun always comes back."

Meh. I didn’t really care for the Trogs or the cows. I mean I did like the second half, but comparing this to the Last Olympian or Blood of Olympus, the conflict or final battle didn’t seem to crazy to me. Books 3&4 seemed more intense to me. I loved
Apollo being a god again and reflecting on all the things he learned as a human and missing the scars he earned and returning to camp as Lester
I loved hearing about Piper and everyone else and what they’re up to. They’re all kind of moving on and doing their own things. Everything was wrapped up well in the end.

Such a long pause in between reading this. Writing fanfiction got into my priorities. But thankfully this did not end up deterring my absolute love for this last book.

Sweet, sweet Apollo you just made yourself more loveable for me. I admit, the middle books are a bit of a dry drag to read through. But once you get here in this last book of the series, it will literally be a blast!

Well, the whole point of this series is for Apollo's character redemption. And it was executed so well I am so so happy and still proud of Apollo. I don't know what else to say but this is a nice way to end the Percy Jackson universe all in all.

As of 2022, there is an announcement of a SolAngelo book which is YEEESS. But for now, we have to pretend The Tower of Nero is the last book within the PJO universe.

I love Apollo and I will protect him and Lester and any variation of Apollo at all costs!!!
