This book reminded me of Frankenstein and Dracula, that classical science fiction style that I didn’t know I had been craving. Similar ideas of playing god, good and evil etc but with a plot twist. I loved it, definitely a short story I will read again and again.

To teach probably, this book took awhile to suck me in, but the punch is that last chapter when Jekyll explains his motivations. I look forward to pondering that more.

Interesting concept but it dragged a little even though it was only 50 pages long- Mr Utterson was incredibly boring and it would’ve been better from Dr Jekyll’s pov from the start.

It's a classic I don't dislike the way I am finding I often do. It did not age as badly as some do. The distasteful parts are supposed to be, so it isn't the same as reading a classic that expects you to agree with them.
