This is an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. I liked it. It was a little different, but the source material was easy to identify. I still don't like the religious tones in fairy tales, but at least this one wasn't putting down other religions.

I was hoping for a much different take on the Beauty and the Beast story, being Russian instead of French, but there is little difference at all. However, the illustrations are absolutely gorgeous.
