A creative book about life! And everything what life is, and can be!

I really enjoyed this one, very funny and life is oh so cute!

If this book had been written by a different author, it would have come off as hokey, didactic, and full of nothing but cliches and platitude. It's basically the picture book version of the Frank Sinatra song of the same name.

But somehow the way Ame Dyckman does it, paired with Cori Doerrfeld's endearing illustrations, this book is an inspiring revelation.

I think Ame Dyckman is a great author and I really liked this book. It has a lot of phrases we have all heard a thousand times, but she adds a fresh element to them. The illustrations are darling. I think this will be a great book to read to my 6th Graders getting ready to jump over to 7th grade.

The illustrations are fun, but there is no real story. This is just a collection of different statements about life, and I found most of them dull, over-worn, or schmaltzy.

Illustrated collection of idioms, aphorisms, and phrases using the word "life". Good alternative to the Seuss book that is too commonly given as a graduation gift.
