This series just gets better and better! The characters grew so much and we got to see more of the spectrum world which I loved! The depth that this story went was amazing.

First, I must say that Steel was so good in this story, I think he grew the most out of all the characters. I loved getting to see more of Ash, Greyson, Sterling, Nova and Tinkle and how they interact with Emberly and each other. Emberly learns so much in this book and she truly takes all that information in stride. She is dealt some pretty crazy things and she just continues to be a bad*ss. We get a new character who adds some great interactions to the story (I wont say more to avoid spoiling anything.)

This series has been great and as I mentioned before, it keeps getting better as the series moves along! I highly suggest this series!

Forging Darkness is the exciting second book in Julie Hall's Fallen Legacies series.

It's been two months since Steel left the academy on a search to find his wayward sister Silver. When he does find her, he gets more than he bargained for when his friends show up to help him and they come across a situation more dangerous than any of them could have ever predicted.

The characters are definitely tested when they're put into some very precarious situations. And while it was completely nerve-wracking to read about, at the same time, it was also quite inspiring watching them grow and mature while facing almost insurmountable odds and conquering them.

I loved that in addition to Emberly's POV, we got some chapters from Steel's perspective too. It was nice to know what he was thinking and feeling.

This book had a lightning fast pace which made it nearly impossible to put down. There were lots of surprising twists, turns, and reveals, and something so shocking it just about gutted me. Seriously, I don't think I've been that stunned in awhile. I was racing through the pages, hardly able to breathe for a good chunk of the book. I cannot wait for book three!

I received a copy of this book from the author and voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion.

The second book got so much better and finally got some of the questions answered. Emberly is one of my favorite FMCs.

I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!! this world and the characters are exciting. luckily I won't have to wait much longer for the next one. it'll come out in about 3 months. this was better than the first book in the series. kept me turning the page to find out what happened next. I definitely recommend if you enjoy angels, romance, epic battle, action. it continues to get better with every twist.
