There's a certain crooked intricacy to both Josh Simmons' drawings and to the stories he tells, but this is one occasion where less would have been more. As it stands, the pile up of rape threats and gnarly, bewildered characters starts to feel narrow and slightly juvenile, which is a shame because some of the individual strips are compellingly weird taken on their own terms.
EDIT: on rereading this book I take the main critique above back - there's a cumulative rage and strangeness to this collection that has stayed with me since I finished

This was part of a horror bundle I purchased online. I was totally unprepared for what was inside. As for what I though of it? I'd say overall it was a thrilling experience, in much the same way that driving past a bad car accident is; not exactly pleasant, you wouldn't necessarily want to see it everyday, but it sort of commands your attention until it's gone, nonetheless. I read the whole thing in sitting. I would not recommend for those who are easily offended or upset. For anyone else, it's certainly one way to kill an hour or so.

Cannot get past the first story. Too vulgar for my taste and it seems for no reason...
