Well, these authors certainly grabbed my attention at “dark mafia shifter romance”.
Not everyday I get my two favorite tropes in one book!

“A part of her has found security and foundation in the darkness we offer. With us, there are no expectations of whole mindedness or whole heartedness. She can give in to her brokenness and let us wear her down to dust. And then, if she wishes, she can be remade in our image. Strong, capable, and enduring.”

Little Fawn has a horrible traumatizing past that has made her extremely fearful of dogs/wolves.
She has made less than stellar decisions in her life that leads her to having a crappy boyfriend who owes a lot of money to many people. He thought his ticket out would be to trade his girlfriend for seven days to clear his debt.

Little does she know, he’s feeding his girlfriend to the wolves.
This book is kinky with some hot ass alphas. Who also are in the mafia. These brutal shifters start to fall for this broken human girl while trying to find ways to get her over her fear of canines.. before revealing themselves as wolves themselves.
It’s extremely well written and packed with action.
I really loved this book and can’t wait for the second one.

The overall story of this is very good, but I had a few issues. First, although the story is solid, there wasn’t near enough of this in the book-way too much steam (and I’m someone who loves steamy books, so that’s saying something). Second, Jemma was way too weak. I can see the build up for her to evolve, but I really would have loved for this book to be longer with more storyline and her strength grow in this book, but it ended with her being just as weak.

DNF 60% of the way through book 3.

I loved book 1 and 2 of this series. I've never read a shifter book that was also mafia based. This was super intriguing and really well written. The spice was epic as well.

Ultimately, I felt like once it got to book three, certain things were sped through and glossed over and other things were drawn out. I just kinda got bored and my ADHD had me moving on to different books.

But please fellow readers, read these books! I'm positive the third book is just as wonderful as the rest and worth it. I wish my focus had held out.

it’s okay

I like the premise of the story. The imagery and the emotions expressed were real nice touches to the writing. I felt like there were far too many redundant sentences though which made it less smooth to read and enjoy. A plot description would be used and then repeated in various ways at least three more times in the next paragraph before the story line moved forward. It was like reading an essay that was padded with filler for word count.

Addicting

I'm crying. What an ending. This book is intense. The healing and coping methods they use are brutal but detrimental to Jemma's journey. I read this really quickly and could hardly put it down. I'm obsessed with Kade, Bishop & Draven in that order.

Wolves!

Um, that was a great book! I love shifters!

I'm such crap at reviews, but this book had lots of fun in it. Drama, suspense, sexy times, wolves (and other beasties), childhood trauma, a woman fighting her own demons...fighting scenes. Man, it was such a fun read. I'm downloading the next book now.
