I've read 17-24 over the past few days. the Chimaera ants arc is as good as the anime. Love it.

There was no break for Morel. After his fight with Cheetu, he then faced another enemy,Leol. I did think Leol already survived long enough, though not as long as Cheetu, and it was about time to defeat him.
Killua's back and he recruited Ikalgo to be a part of the team. His words to Ikalgo melted my heart. He surely is the best friend one could ever have. I would have loved to have a friend like him.
I remember the part where Knov was invading the palace. It was so nerve-wracking I can barely breathe. I can fully understand why he broke mentally after doing his job of placing the exits inside the palace. If he had continued his arrogance like how he was in his first appearance, I would have mocked on how he reacted to Pouf's En. But he admitted it himself and wondered how can Gon and Killua chose to fight head-on despite having a close experience with the enemies' incredible power.
And the King. Omg, Meruem! This is one of the reasons why I love HxH. The author has the talent of writing the most complex villains. Meruem was nearing the line that separates their kind of creature to humans. The interesting part of him was that he was wavering. That was because of his encounter with Komugi. A frail young girl, who was not exactly smart but incredibly good at playing Gungi, who the King has no chance of winning against, has an absolute effect on the King's mind.
It was already time to attack the palace. They still have doubts about the success of their plans and they all feel uneasy but there's no going back.

The chimera king is having an existential crisis (and so is his private guard), Killua has adopted an octopus with no arms, and a snot-nose blind girl is wrenching everything. This is shaping up to be incredibly spectacular.

3.6 - they really left us with that giant cliffhanger huh? Definitely a bit slow but still very enjoyable. It bounces around to different characters quite a bit which definitely kept my attention. Excited for when I can dive into Vol 25 to see the attack.
