Nothing better than reading the second generation in your favorite family saga. Dale Steel was adopted into the Steel clan after dealing with horrendous abuse, and as an adult the nightmares are still there. Ashley White comes to the Steel vineyard hoping to learn tricks of the trade to aid in her education to be a Dr. of Wine. Upon their first meeting the recluse and the woman who has a bright future ahead of her instantly connect. But can Dale let her in? Or will the haunting images he still sees at night be too much baggage for him to let someone in? With honest and true family portrayals, Helen Hardt proves once again that the Steel family has so much more to say, and she does it with 5 Star capability. I cannot wait for more in this series!!

A complex, intense, spectacularly mind blowing explosion of sensory overload that will steal your every breath! This slow burning romance, with an irresistible air of mystery, ushers in the next generation of Steels in a powerfully and masterfully written fashion. Five stars for this exceptional read!

The Steel Brothers continues with Book 16 Awakened, the next generation!!! This story is about Dale and Ashley. Both characters have an instant attraction as well as tragic pasts that they need to overcome. Dale and Talon have extremely similar pasts, it would be helpful to Dale if Talon opened up to him about it. This story broke my heart but gives me hope that love can begin to help both Dale and Ashley heal! Another amazing job by Helen Hardt bringing these characters to life!

The next generation of Steel stories are here and what a way to start. The first book belongs to Ashley and Dale and boy oh boy what an amazing start it was. This was and emotional book with a slow burn romance between Ashley and Dale that will definitely leave you wanting more at the end. This book did not disappoint, can’t wait for the next book!!

Ok…. The book is good. Learned a lot about wine (or not, maybe it’s not accurate lol)

I was super annoyed by how often it was brought up that Dale is closer to his father. I thought about turning it into a drinking game, but I didn’t want to get wasted.

All these books have so much repetition. Both within each book and then between books as well. There is no need for each love story to have 3 books each. They only need one, cut all the needless repetitions out and it won’t even be super long. Honestly if I wasn’t able to get this series through my library I would have quit long ago. It’s not nice to charge people so much when the books are just repeating themselves over and over.

Another issue I have is with the OG Steels. They decided to not tell Dale and Donny about Talon’s abduction…. Why? Those secrets worked out so well in the first 15 books. Did they not learn their lessons at all? Seeing Talon being healed and whole with Jade would be SOOOOOO HEALING for them! Letting them know he lived a similar torture I think would have been the best thing for them from the start. It’s dumb to hide it.

Oh how I miss the Steel brothers. Now with Awakened, Miss Hard gives us the story of next generation. After all of those delicious soap opera drama on the previous books, Awakened does not disappoint.

I think mostly becausebof Dale. He is a prime alpha who is about to burst. And I can not wait to listen to his story in next book. For you who follow this series knows that Dale and Donny had gone through a horrific experience. It is so good to have their own story.

This is a wonderful story.

What a magnificent introduction to the next generation of the Steel family. I absolutely loved Dale and Ashley's beginning and I think these books are going to be a wild ride. There wasn't too much of the sark elements in this one except the mentions of Dale and Donny's past. I loved seeing the OG Steels and I think the family dynamic is unmatched. I really enjoyed the winemaking/ tasting sub plot and it was really interesting to read about. I think some of the other books were really focused on the beef so it was great to see the wine be at the forefront. Also, I thought the synesthesia was something I hadn't really known too much about so I thought that was cool as well. The spice was fantastic and there was so much immediate tension between Dale and Ashley and I am living for all of it. Very excited to continue with more of these books!

Wow just wow!

They just keep getting better and better! I tried ,y best to read this slow. But it didn’t happen. I even tried to read another book. But this kept calling my name. I love to leave a review but i don’t like reading them, I also do the like reading the back of a book. I want to be surprised. And Helen Hardy never disappoints! And talk about a cliff hanger! Dang March!!!
