Wildwest story told in graphic novel format. Nothing really spectacular, though events in the story are interesting. The art is a times wonderful, and at times to unfocused for me to understand what's really going on.

After watching "The Harder They Fall" several times, I decided to learn a little more about the real people that inspired the characters. I don't know anything about Nat Love, so I thought his story was pretty interesting (although it sounds like it might not be entirely true). What I didn't like about this book, though, was the art, which was mainly undefined shadow people. There was no way to tell anyone apart until they addressed each other by name, so there are entire scenes where I was lost about who was saying and doing what. There are some truly stunning graphic novels out there, but this is absolutely not one of them.

I might add that the only thing I don't really like about this book is the pictures. They are a little hard to follow. After a while I sort of got used to it though. They are just really vague(?). I had a hard time telling the difference between the different characters in the book. Aside from that, the graphics were unusual and cool, just a bit hard to understand at times.

The structure of the story felt wonky and I wasn't super crazy about the illustrations. Good piece of history though.
